Latinos In Action Visit

The NLFD would like to thank the Latinos in Action group from Bennie Dover Middle School for stopping by and dropping off some pizza for us during the holidays. It was a great visit.
2020 Crab Feed & Installation Banquet

Modesto City Firefighters 2020 Crab Feed and Installation Banquet will be held on Febuary 15th, 2020 at the Stanislaus Veterans Hall located at 3500 Coffee Rd, starting with cocktail hour at 5pm. Tickets for this event are 55$ and can be purchased at the link below. All proceeds for this event will go towards our Widows & Orphans fund.

The NLFD along with Mr. Gary Pinkham hosted a New London Fire Department history night this past weekend. Current and past members were able to learn about various aspects of the department's history along with various items that Mr. Pinkham brought with him. We would like to express our thanks to both Mr. Pinkham and Battalion Chief Jeff Rheaume for putting this together.
2019 Election Results

11/22/19 - South Metro Firefighters IAFF LOCAL 2086
Just after 17:00 on November 21st, 2019 Local 2086 and 4116 members responded to an MVA with extrication needed on northbound I-25 between Castle Pines Pkwy and Ridgegate Pkwy in Surrey Ridge. First arriving Engine 36 reported multiple vehicles across the highway, assumed command and requested the northbound lanes be closed.

Today, November 22nd, marks the 30th Anniversary of the passing of FF John Marques who died in the Line of Duty due to occupational cancer. May he continue to Rest In Peace.
Annual Holiday Food Drive

The City of Danbury Firefighter's Union Local 801 is again collecting canned and non-perishable foods for the annual food drive to benefit the Salvation Army's holiday basket program and food pantry.  Donations may be dropped off at the following DFD career stations: Headquarters - 19 New St.  Engine 23 - 208 Osborne St.  Engine 24 - 36 Eagle Rd.

SPPD & SPFD Basketball

The police play basketball from 12-2PM at Battle Creek Rec Center on Tuesdays and are open to having anyone from the Fire Department that wants to play to join in.  It is pick-up basketball so no need to have a team, just show up and play.
Santa Claus is coming to Town!

Santa Claus is coming to the Denver Firefighters Muesum on December 6th and 7th before the Parade of Lights. Visit Santa, have a snack and head to the Parade of Lights. 2019 Election Poll Hours

There has been some confusion regarding when the Election Polls are open and closed at the Local 858 Office. . The Polls will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am until 3:00 pm.  The Polls will be closed on Thursday, November 28th, for Thanksgiving.  The Polls will also be closed from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm for lunch.
